Fifth Street Baptist Church is the first community based workforce center, known as a share site in the City of Richmond. The center is sanctioned through the U.S. Department of Labor and the Workforce Investment Act law. This center is a partnership between the City of Richmond, Fifth Street Baptist staffing volunteers, and the Greater Richmond Workforce Development Board (RESOURCE).
The share-site will be open to the community to assist residents in preparing and locating jobs, by providing the use of computers with Internet access, clothing, and financial literacy. RESOURCE will teach classes on résumé writing, interview skills, and networking. The center's operating hours are on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
